Draft Top® LIFT Universal
Why did you make the Draft Top® LIFT Universal?
We designed the LIFT Universal to transform the way you drink from cans. By removing the top, you get the full aroma and flavor of your beverage, just as it was meant to be enjoyed. It’s also a smarter choice for places where glass isn’t allowed, giving you the freedom to ditch single-use cups and enjoy your drink straight from the can.
What’s new about the Universal?
The LIFT Universal was built to do more. It works on virtually every standard beverage can, from 7.5 oz all the way up to 25 oz, so there’s no need for multiple tools to open the can. The design has been refined for smoother operation and greater durability. Plus, we’ve introduced fresh colors and prints so you can choose the look that fits your style.
How do I use it?
Place the Draft Top® LIFT on the can by lining up the tab with the center opening. Hook the tab onto the shelf and slide the can in until it’s seated correctly. Close the handle, grip firmly, and rotate the can at least one full turn until the lid separates. Open the handle and lift the tool off. If the lid isn’t fully cut, rotate again. To eject the lid, simply push the tab through the center opening.
Does it leave sharp edges?
No. The LIFT Universal folds the aluminum as it separates the lid, leaving a smooth, safe rim that’s comfortable to drink from.
Is the tool sharp?
No. The mechanism uses pressure rather than blades. The edges inside the tool are dull, making it safe to use.
Which cans does it work on?
The LIFT Universal works on standard aluminum cans ranging from 7.5 oz to 25 oz, including beer, seltzer, soda, iced tea, sparkling water, and energy drinks. It is not designed for crowlers, or non-beverage cans like soup.
Can I use it if the can tab has already been opened?
Yes. The tool works on unopened cans as well as cans that have already been opened with the tab. Just handle opened cans gently and make sure the tool is properly aligned.
Is it hard to learn?
Not at all. Most people get the hang of it within two or three tries. Once you do, it feels natural every time.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No. The LIFT Universal is hand wash only. Rinse with warm water after use to keep it clean and functioning smoothly.
Are replacement parts available?
No. The Draft Top® LIFT Universal is a closed system and does not require replacement parts.
Will the lid ever fall into the can?
Occasionally the lid may stay partially attached. If that happens, just rotate the can again. To eject the lid completely, push the tab through the center opening. If the lid drops into the can please refer to the instructions page again for the best way to use to eliminate this experience go forward.
Does it work for left-handed users?
Yes. The LIFT Universal is designed to work equally well for left- and right-handed users.
Can I use it to make cocktails in the can?
Yes. Once the top is removed, you can add ice, mixers, or garnishes directly into the can without needing extra glassware. Add a Can clips and create the perfect cocktail in a can by attaching an airplane size bottle to the top.

What’s the difference between the LIFT Universal and the Pro?
The LIFT Universal is designed for personal, everyday use. The DT Pro is a bar-top unit built for speed and volume. It opens cans quickly and consistently for bartenders and servers, making it ideal for bars, restaurants, and events.
What size cans does the Pro work on?
The Pro is designed for most standard beverage cans between 7.5 oz and 19.2 oz. Different versions are available for 8.4 oz Red Bull cans and 20 oz+ tall boys.
The Pro is designed for most standard beverage cans between 8 oz and 16 oz. Can I use it if the can tab has already been opened?
Yes. The tool works on unopened cans as well as cans that have already been opened with the tab. Just handle opened cans gently and make sure the tool is properly aligned. The tab will not stay on the tool once its open so there is a possibility of it falling into the can after opening. You can use your finger to hold it onto the shelf.
Why would a bar or restaurant need a Draft Top® Pro?
It speeds up service, reduces the need for glassware, and creates a unique topless can presentation that customers love. It’s also a safer option for venues where glass isn’t allowed, such as stadiums, pool decks, or beach bars.
Is the Pro dishwasher safe?
No. Like the LIFT, it should be rinsed or hand washed with warm water.
Can Clips
What are Can Clips?
Can Clips attach to the rim of your topless can and make it easy to pour mini liquor bottles or mixers directly into your drink without spilling. They’re perfect for parties, travel, and on-the-go cocktails.
Do Can Clips fit all cans?
Yes. They’re designed to snap onto the rim of most standard aluminum cans, including beer, soda, and seltzers.
Are Can Clips reusable?
Yes. Simply rinse and reuse.
Do Can Clips work with the LIFT Universal and Pro?
Yes. Can Clips are designed to complement the Draft Top® LIFT Universal and Pro, letting you quickly mix cocktails right in the can.
General FAQs
Can I travel with my Draft Top®?
Yes. The LIFT Universal is compact and TSA-friendly, so you can take it to tailgates, concerts, camping trips, or the beach.
Is it safe around kids or pets?
Yes. The tool has no sharp blades and is safe if picked up or handled as well as if a child or pet drinks directly from can when opened.
What kinds of drinks are better topless?
Beer, seltzers, cocktails, iced tea, soda, sparkling water, and energy drinks all taste and smell better with the top removed.
Is there a warranty or guarantee?
No. But, we stand by our products. If you experience any issues, our support team will work with you to make it right.
Can I buy Draft Top® as a gift?
Absolutely. The LIFT Universal, Pro, and Can Clips are popular gifts for weddings, birthdays, and holidays. Bundles are also available. We also have gifting made easy with the Draft Top® gift boxes available on site for any occasion.
Are Draft Top® products environmentally friendly?
Yes. By going topless, you cut down on single-use plastic cups while keeping cans recyclable.
Shipping FAQs
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we currently ship worldwide except to Norway, Japan, Denmark, Sweden, and Australia. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
Who handles international shipping?
We partner with Passport, a trusted international shipping carrier. They work with local partners in your country to ensure safe and reliable delivery.
Do I need to pay duties and taxes?
Yes, but these are handled at checkout. All international orders ship Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), which means duties and taxes are collected upfront so your order isn’t delayed by customs.
How can I track my order?
When your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. You can follow the progress directly on your Draft Top® tracking page.
How long will it take to arrive?
International orders are typically delivered within 8 to 14 business days after fulfillment. Your tracking page will display the estimated delivery date once your order has shipped.
My package hasn’t moved. Should I worry?
